CV
Naea Esma is a self-taught Moroccan-Dutch artist based in New York’s Lower East Side. Working across metal, glass, photomontage, and found objects, her practice explores mental health, memory, vulnerability, and the process of giving form to internal experiences.
Material and process play an important role in her work, with each piece developing through a balance of intention and intuition.
Her work has been presented at the Agnes Varis Art Center in Brooklyn. She is also the founder of ZEEGRIJS, a platform for collectible objects and wearable art, and a forthcoming Artist-in-Residence at UrbanGlass.
